Since I had such a great year in 2018, I really want 2019 to be a good year for me as well if not the same. I've always just written or even type up a list somewhere in order to remind myself goals that I want to achieve this year. This year, I thought I would include something different to hopefully help me create another wonderful year.
I’m going to make a digital vision board this year. If you don’t know what vision board is, it’s basically a collage of inspiring images that you envision for your life. One of my favorite YouTuber, Aileen from Lavendaire, made an amazing video of how to create a vision board before (she also has an updated one this year!). I've decided to go with the digital version because first, it’s way easier for me. Second, I can save my vision board to many different devices, such as my phone, my laptop, and my tablet, so I can always have quick access to it or use it as my wallpaper.
I found the images from Unsplash and Pixabay. Most of the images that I used on this website came from there as well. I just simply put them together in Illustrator.
So here is what my vision board for 2019 looks like; it's plain and simple. I want to keep learning new skills and knowledge, growing my current relationships and make new connections, and also taking care of myself by being more active and have enough rest.
If you don’t have Illustrator at home, one very good tool to use to create a vision board is Canva. It’s free, and they have lots of templates you can choose from as well. Another free tool you can use is Pinterest. Not only are there tons of images on Pinterest, but it’s also super easy to create a new board and pin what inspires you. You can also make your Pinterest board private if you don’t want to share your vision board with the public.
As cliché as it sounds, I’m very excited to start my new year. I felt that I’m taking a new chapter in my life, and I can’t wait to be able to grow and learn more.
Happy New Year!
